Home Care Instructions

The surface of your tooth has been sealed with a temporary restoration. A permanent restoration must be placed by your general dentist to protect your tooth. You should chew on the other side until your permanent restoration has been placed.

A report of treatment will be sent to your dentist following your procedure. Please schedule an appointment with your dentist within 1 month after completion of root canal treatment.

Your tooth and surrounding gum tissue may be tender for 1-2 weeks following treatment due to manipulation of the area. Swelling in the affected area may also occur.

Post-operative infections occasionally occur. Many times, placing you on an antibiotic will take care of the infection. In some cases, you may be asked to return to our office to check the area.

If you have any questions, please call our office at (920) 593-2569.
